Bad Habit
I've been listening to a whole lot of Foals lately. Specially their last cd Holy Fire. I love it all and I've been obsessed with it for the last 3 weeks but the song I can't take out of my head is Bad Habit.
It inspired me to play today. Wadda you think eh?
I've been working on some branding
I had the fortune of working with some lovely ladies that contacted me a couple of months ago about developing a brand and logo for a new business they were in the middle of developing.
This is what Maria Teresa, one of the ladies and co-founder of the line told me about it:
11:11 Los Angeles is founded by Andrea & Maite in Los Angeles, California. They both fell in love with the LA life and were constantly inspired by the style and essence that is seen in LA. In 2011 they decided to team up and create 11:11 Los Angeles a brand that would be launched in Lima, Peru their native country. 11:11 Los Angeles will specialize on contemporary women’s apparel and accessories, for fashion forward savvy women. Andrea and Maite share a fresh and fearless aesthetic. They believe in individuality, creating perfect timeless & effortless fashion pieces.
So off I went brainstorming and came up with a simple but powerful concept. Black and white were the colors agreed on that would make the logo bold and fierce and a clean looking font with enough power to stand out by its own. We did a couple of corrections on the font and placing and we we're done!
I had such an amazing time working with these awesome ladies and continue to be amazed at everything that they are doing (on their own) and everything they've accomplished in such a short time. So thank you so much Andrea and Maite for letting me help you grow your already amazing brand and I'm excited to see where this journey is going to take you.

Think this through
Some days we all need reassurance Some days we need to feel that what we do or what we say is right. Most of the time we don't know. and probably won't at all. But that's ok as long as you have someone to catch you when you fall. Someone who will pick up your tiny broken self and will piece you back together and additionally fill your heart with happiness and make you grand just because you're worth it.
When you're having a bad day, keep your chin up and smile because you will be saved and you will know love.

20 Minute Doodle and a new Domain
I know, I know this happened a couple of weeks ago but it's never not exciting. I changed domains to Foxandarrowdesign.com and so far its been great!
I've been working like a crazy person and a lot of exciting new things are coming up. I'm also working on some DIY for this holidays coming right around the corner and I have a lot of big new ideas written down everywhere waiting to be developed.
To all of my old and new friends, customers and everyone reading I really hope you'll like everything that I've been working on because I'm doing it for all of you.
I wanted to ask you guys what you think about me including the Google Friend Connect widget on my blog? I don't even have many followers over there (probably like 2 or 3 actually) but a couple of people asked me why I didn't and I honestly couldn't think of a reason.
I realize that I kind of made sure that following my blog in a different way was nearly impossible. I just really thought no one would be interested in following my blog regularly and now that I see that is not the case I would love to make it easier for new readers as well as people that's been following my blog since it started so follow along and be part of Fox and Arrow as much as I am. Ive never added it before because I feel silly not having many followers there and I kind of just went with the whole Bloglovin' thing but seing that Google Reader might be gone-zo by the next week or so and the bigger part of my blog visits come from there I thought I might as well try something new. So what do you guys recommend? Do you guys think that with Reader disappearing, GFC will eventually will too?
I'd love to hear your feedback as to who I can make this blog better and fun!
Character Design
The first drawing I did for myself. Since I've been testing myself and trying to get my skills back I decided what better way to do it than by creating a character. I've been working on her since I finished this drawing and I'm considering developing a short comic book type of story.
The second drawing I did for the lovely Montana from Montana Says as a custom piece. I'll share more details about it in the future!
20 minute doodles
It's been a while since I laid eyes on a drawing tablet, less alone touched one. I use my laptop's trackpad or a jacked up mouse I have laying around the house and it's been a pain in the ass to say the least. So it was a no brainer what was topping my wishlist this year was a brand new drawing tablet.
My sweet sweet boyfriend was going to surprise me with one for christmas but I always get my way and he ended up telling me what the surprise was and we actually went and bought it together.
I've been drawing non stop since yesterday in hopes that my wrist will get used again to free hand drawing and it's been a hard ride but I'm loving every second of it. I love love love my new wacom even though my drawings so far look super amateur. I can feel my wrist getting used to long traces, and the shakiness is going away.
I'll be posting more 20 minute doodles as I get better at it.

Thoughts on faith and my work on Pinterest.
Sometimes I can't even grasp the power of words. Some of us have mantras, some use mottos, others just choose to believe and be inspired but to think that people live by, shape or base their lives on words in mind blowing. Faith is an amazing thing.
About a year and a half ago I was given an assignment in school to study and immerse myself in a different culture, religion or lifestyle. One I'd never experienced before but always secretly wanted to be a part of, even for just one day. I chose to get involved with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since a couple of months before I crossed paths at school with a mormon boy that pretty much changed my life.
Now my work was handed in 4 months after this happened and today, 16202 repins and 80 comments later, this little quote has sparked one of the most interesting debates i've seen online. It's amazing to me to see how we all read the same words, however everyone seems to have such a different opinion. How some took it personally and others just thought it was a "good quote". Some people think its a matter of faith, others of principles and some plain disagree.
Today I received and email from a man I've never met. He told me that he changed his life around because these words touched his heart and soul. I never even knew that words could have such a deep effect on people. And I feel so honoured that my little quote thingy affected someone's life that much. I'm honoured that so many people have seen this quote and that some decided to actively participate on the little forum that's going on there. I'm happy I received that email today and I'm thankful for stories like that.

Birds and Deers
I love illustrating animals. There's something about them that I find so intriguing. It probably has to do with the fact that I live in the city where the only animals that I see are two different kind of birds and a whole lot of cats and dogs.
I've been working on a watercolour encyclopedia about birds on my spare time, their habitats and life cycles that I hope to publish one day.
